Cleaning the polluted Crowes waters with source material!

The Black Crowes
November 4, 1996
The Strand
Providence, RI

Source: Audience DAT

Recording Information: Sony TCD-D7 & Aerco preamp with Microtech Gefell SMS 2000
microphones and M210 capsules. Recorded 75 feet right center from the stage.

Taper: Scott "Spider-Web" Weber

Lineage: DAT Master>WAV>FLAC

Mastering Informtion: DAT converted to Wave optically via a Prodiff 96 digital
soundcard into Wavelab. Downsampled from 48kHz to 44.1kHz in Wavelab. Individual Wave
tracks created in Wavelab. Wave files converted to FLAC using FLAC Frontend.

I have listed below the tracks broken out into what I think would be a correct split to
span the show over two 74 or 80 minute CDRs, as the naming convention of the FLAC files
suggest. Note that the last track on Disc 1 and the first track on Disc 2 can be joined
together without a loss of continuity.

DISC 1: 54:58

1. Let Me Share The Ride
2. Mellow Down Easy
3. Sting Me (slow)
4. Ballad In Urgency
5. Wiser Time
6. High Head Blues
7. Sloppy Drunk
8. Under A Mountain

DISC 2: 55:50

1. Feathers
2. Downtown Money Waster
3. Crow Black Chicken
4. Thunderstorm 6:54PM
5. Willin'
6. Blackberry
7. NonFiction
8. Silver Train
9. Remedy

A special "no thanks" to Michael Rathbun (PAGE_CROWES) who sourced the
microphones & preamp for this show as well as 10/15/96, 10/22/96, 10/23/96,
10/25/96, 10/26/96, 10/28/96 & 11/3/96. Michael is anti-torrent. Once I started
sharing these shows from my Master DAT tapes, Michael slandered me multiple times
on this site, and on the official Black Crowes Message Board with futile attempts
to convince folks that I was "leeching" from him at these shows. Michael was not
present 10/15/96 & 10/22/96 and lent me his gear. For the other shows although he
was present, I was the one who decided on taping spots, did the equipment
setup/recording, and watched the mic stand. I have more than enough right to claim
these shows as my masters. Multiple people who were at these shows have corroborated
my truths and dispelled Michael's accusations. Spending money on high-end equipment
does not always translate into taping a show yourself, and this is the case for the
above mentioned shows.

Instead of lies and accusations, I believe Michael would be better served sharing
his DAT masters of shows he actually taped himself from the late '90's through the
current 2005 Black Crowes tour. Sharing and spreading music in lossless quality is
what it's about, not petty accusations.

Torrent uploaded to bt.etree.org on 9/29/05.

Please do not dub to analog tape or convert to MP3 and circulate. If you are to trade
this show, or do a blank CDR+postage offer, please list the lineage to keep the
generational waters clean!
