NOTES:
I arrived at the Malpensa airport a little before 7 o'clock in the afternoon. I didn't have a ticket for the
show, partly because I had been checking that there were plenty of unsold tickets and I could buy a ticket at
the box office without the Italian invention of the 15% "presale fee" and partly because I didn't know if I
could make it at the Teatro Arcimboldi on time, as almost every flight is delayed nowadays. Hopefully my delay
was not that much, so, I grabbed the Malpensa Express to the city center and then the metro to the Greco Pireli
stop, arrived at the theater around 20:30 and bought a ticket in the first row right in the center of the Platea
Alta. When I got there I saw that the second row was totally free, so, I sat there and placed my Edirol in a
vacant seat right next to me. Taping wise all went well and we can all listen to an enjoyable recording, in my
opinion. Show wise, the performance was better than I expected. The band is well-oiled and they play very, very
well. I would prefer a couple of deeper cuts instead of some of the hits and I missed Marc Ford's sweet guitar
playing at times (Rich has taken over a lot of lead guitar work), but all in all, it was a concert I enjoyed
very much. Cully Symington did a pretty good job on the drums. Go see the band!
