Show notes: this show was quite an interesting experience...landed in Denver around noon, and it was STORMY....took a couple hours to rent a
car and get to the Executive Suites hotel within walking distance...around 3pm, the skies just OPENED up, so that pretty much sealed the fate
of not catching .moe, Sherri Jackson and the drums/Robert Hunter portion. And the other irony is that I had a shitty lawn seat. well, when
wandering around, I happened to meet Gary Rossington of Skynyrd's guitar tech (!!!)...this was back in the day of pagers (side note: I hit
this guy's pager up and delivered Rossington a fat quarter of Fairbanks' finest, 5 different kinds, when Skynyrd made it up to Anchorage
in January of the next year, and I was comped a couple of Skynyrd tix for the courtesy!)....aaaaanyhow, this guy had a couple of tix in the
22nd row on Marc's side, and he was kind enough to sell me it for face, so onward inward for Ratdog...which was a good thing as Marc sat in on
a spirited version of "New Minglewood Blues".

Overall, this was a great introduction to Furthur...first time these ears had heard "Another Roadside Tragedy" live (courteous tapers had sent
taped versions this way previous), and how it morphed into "Share The Ride" then "Mellow Down Easy" sounded perfectly natural to these ears...
The really sad part that Crowesbase doesn't note is the post-show jam, where Chris TORE UP "Goin' Down" and Marc soloed all over the place
(they also played "Chain Of Fools" and "Truckin'")...also, Marc sat in with Ratdog for a pretty smokin "New Minglewood Blues"...oh yeah,
pretty sure you can hear me pull my 'raincoat' (trashbag with hole ripped in bottom for neck and in sides for arms) over my head right at the
beginning of or during "Jealous Again" (damn, it was 19 years ago), and occasional bag crinkles after that. it was also a bit of a shrill
sounding (read: LOTS of midrange) show, which I assume was due to the seats. All in all, it was a great show, and a great start to hitting
4 Furthurs. BIG thanks to Dennis for the upload, and I do have a couple more *complete* Furthur's that might get sent his way.
